This is actually a difference between the U2311H and the NEC EA231WMi in fact. Although both use the same panel module from LG.Display (LM230WF2), Dell have applied an RTC impulse to improve the response time, whereas NEC did not. The response time of the NEC was therefore 14ms ISO with G2G transitions likely to be slower still. When we reviewed the EA231WMi we found that pixel responsiveness was not as good as some other models and could be considered one of the weaknesses of the screen.
