Sapphire-ი აგრეთვე ამზადებს ახალი დიზაინის მქონე Radeon HD 6970 2 GB-საც. მისი PCB იქნება რეფერენს-მოდელის მსგავსი, მხოლოდ ლურჯი ფერის. მთავარი თავისებურება კი გახდება მრგვალი, მბრუნავი ბურთულა, რომელიც იძლევა ორ BIOS ROM ჩიპებიდან ერთ-ერთზე გადართვის საშუალებას და ამგვარად, შესაძლებელი ხდება ორი განსხვავებული სიხშირისა და ფენ-პროფაილების შენახვა. პროდუქტი აღჭურვილი იქნება 1536 VLIW4 ნაკადური პროცესორითა და 2 გბ მოცულობის GDDR5 მეხსიერებით.
