Old password was working for me just a few days ago, but after electricity went out it seems that the password got updated remotely and now I can't get in (apart from user:user, which is pretty useless).

As for the port forwarding. The settings I have changed before password reset are still working, ports are open etc, but the issue is that I cannot change it anymore. And I can't even put a router in a bridge mode so that my other router could handle that instead. Such an inconvenience, ehhh....
