Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is in development at its Paris studio, with a scheduled worldwide holiday 2010 release. Created by the award-winning team behind the GRAW series, Future Soldier promises cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. We're told to expect "a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike". Ubisoft also announced that gamers will be given the opportunity to play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s Multiplayer Beta this summer. An exclusive beta invitation will be available for a limited time to customers who purchase Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction for Xbox 360. There’s a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher in there, the “Predator” cloak, and a few showing guys flying through the air from what we assume was caused by an explosion of sorts. That or they just got shot dramatically. All are neat looking, really. A live-action trailer for the game hit this week, with a 30-minute one in the works from Oscar winners. The game will have four-player co-op, and a multiplayer Beta is expected sometime this summer for those that purchase Splinter Cell: Conviction for Xbox 360.
